Invasion of TV Globo targeted Renata Vasconcellos
In June of this year, a man invaded the TV Globo journalism headquarters in Rio de Janeiro, and held reporter Marina Araújo hostage for about half an hour. The target of the criminal, however, was the journalist Renata Vasconcellos, who at that time was not at the station. According to information from TV Globo itself, the man said he was a fan of Renata and guaranteed that he just wanted to congratulate the “JN” anchor for his birthday. Called by the police to the station, Renata ended up convincing the man to release his co-worker.
Renata Vasconcellos called for peace after invasion
On the same day, at night, Renata Vasconcellos commanded the news program and regretted what had happened. “It was a huge scare, but we received here, in this environment, from the newsroom, the two colleagues who were safe and sound. And for that we also thank the PM’s impeccable action in protecting them. It wasn’t an incredible birthday, right, Renata? more important is that Marina is well, that you are well, and the life that follows, “said William Bonner. “That’s it, life that goes on. I wish everyone peace,” said Lanza’s sister.
Marina Araújo said she suffered a libidinous attack
In a statement to the police, reporter Marina Araújo said that during the entire time she was held hostage by the man who invaded TV Globo, she suffered a libidinous attack. In her testimony, the reporter reported that “the custodian pressed his private parts against his body, smelled his neck and praised his physical attributes”. Trapped in the act, Thomas Rainer could be framed for a violent indecency, whose sentence can vary from 6 to 10 years in prison.
