The cabinet will lift all physical restrictions for all sports as of 1 July. Athletes can get back to work in recreational and competition settings. The relaxation also applies to contact sports such as judo, boxing, wrestling and boxing. Prime Minister Mark Rutte announced this in his press conference on Wednesday evening.

With the decisions, the government is responding to the favorable developments in the fight against the corona virus, which, like other sectors, has been hitting hard for months. The contact sports in particular have been angry in recent weeks that they were not yet allowed to do anything.
