The president of the Montreal Club, Kevin Gilmore, commented on the changes in the club’s image, which has been attracting attention since January.
Gilmore admitted: “We know that some people will be disappointed or even hurt because they value this brand.”
Gilmore said: “Stagnation in sports is a danger.” Continuous development is necessary and very important to us. We tell ourselves that those who are emotional will continue to keep in touch with the club. “
Justin Kingsley (Justin Kingsley) mentioned that there are many risks, but implies that they are calculated.
“Such a decision is very risky, but inaction is even more risky. We have a responsibility to act for the long-term health of our business.”
Since the change, many supporters have done their best to express their dissatisfaction.
Kingsley was actually embarrassed or arrogant in handling this matter.
“Before we revealed the new image, a group of’supporters’ issued a press release announcing their opposition. We could have offered them anything, but they would oppose it.”
“During the pandemic, now is not the ideal time to launch a new brand or sweatshirt,” Gilmore said frankly, under increasing pressure.
“From a sports perspective, we put more pressure on ourselves because if we want to be a good club in Montreal and internationally, we have to be efficient on the court.”
