Ilves got full points from Turku when TPS fell 4-1. With his victory, Ilves rose to second place in the Finnish Championships.

Ilves started scoring in the opening round when Arttu Ruotsalainen scored a superb free kick by TPS.

Less than a minute later, Ilves struck again. Joose Antonen deflected the puck in the attack area, bait Roby Järventie, which led Ilves to a 2-0 lead. The finish was 18th for 18-year-old Järventie this season.

The tassel ears went on to lead three goals in the second set when Juuso Välimäki past the puck past TPS with a goal block Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen.

In the final round, TPS rose to two more goals when Ville Lajunen fired a 1-3 narrowing goal with superiority. The lynx Jarkko Parikka however, took his team to a 4-1 lead.

Czech guard playing with Ilves’ goal Lukas Dostal took a few big fights in the match and fought a total of 24 times.

TPS head coach Raimo Helminen faced his former team in the match. Helminen played in his player career in Ilves for 16 seasons and 751 Finnish Championship regular season matches with powers of 161 + 420 = 581. Helminen has also worked as an assistant and head coach after his career in Ilves.
