Quebecman Francis Jobin won the slope medal at Silvaplana, Switzerland, in the last snowboard World Cup of the season (Sunday).
Jacob Legault and Maxence Parrot did not qualify for the finals, finishing 32nd and 33rd respectively.
During the first descent, Jobin lost his balance after landing on the half-pipe wall at the top of the court. However, he was able to recover well in the next descent, especially by increasing the difficulty of each of the three jumps of the route. The 22-year-old driver was runner-up in qualifying the day before.
For him, Toutant lost a lot of speed, and this was his first fall and his second jump. The Olympic aviation champion had no choice but to put all the rubber on his second pass. Just like Jobin in the first round, his troubles appeared on the wall of the half pipe.
Repentignois made good aerial maneuvers, but he hooked the plank to the edge of the structure, which caused him to fall.
