Mohamed Ihattaren returns to PSV on Sunday. The playmaker is at the kick-off for the game with Heracles Almelo, just like Nick Viergever, among others. Attacker Donyell Malen has to make do with a spare role.
Eighteen-year-old Ihattaren fell out of the base in the last two games. Trainer Roger Schmidt was not completely satisfied with the attitude of the midfielder and chose others.
Viergever has a basic place in the back for the first time this season. The former AZ and Ajax player takes the place of Olivier Boscagli, who was still kicking off Thursday in the Europa League match against NS Mura.
Compared to that game, in addition to Boscagli and Malen – he is sitting on the bench for the first time this season – also Ryan Thomas and the injured Maxi Romero are missing from the base at PSV. Michal Sadílek and Cody Gakpo return to the team. Gakpo forms a striker couple with Bruma.
PSV hopes to book the third victory in three Eredivisie matches in Almelo and thus follow the example of Ajax and sc Heerenveen. The match in Erve Asito stadium starts at 4.45 p.m.
