The vice president of Madrid, Ignacio AguadoI recognized him in the morning and called for a political truce between the regional Executive and the Government of Sánchez, which he asked to be urgently involved in the control of the pandemic in Madrid. The Government’s response has been a letter to Isabel Diaz Ayuso.
Pedro Sánchez is willing to meet her at the Community headquarters to cooperate in controlling the virus. And she responds with another letter. She accepts the offer and insists that national strategies are necessary to end the pandemic. A meeting that Diaz Ayuso requested seven days ago and which must be set after a few weeks in which the tension between the two administrations grew at the same rate as the infections.
Among those measures there will be restrictions on mobility but no confinements. An expression used by the Madrid Deputy Minister of Health and that caught the rest of the Executive by surprise. Today the Community assumes that it was a mistake to use that term.
