Norway lashes out in Northern Ireland

Bosnia did take the lead in Zenica halfway through the first half. Haris Hajradinovic used a penalty kick after the ball hit the spot due to a foul by Jan Bednarek on Elvir Koljic.

Just before half-time, Kamil Glik drew the tying run with a header from a corner kick, after which Kamil Grosicki gave the Poles the win halfway through the second half. The attacker headed home from a cross by Maciej Rybus.

Because of the victory, Poland now has three points from two games, just like the Orange squad, which lost 0-1 to Italy on Monday. Due to last Friday’s 1-0 loss in Amsterdam, the Eastern Europeans are third. The Bosniaks are at the bottom with one point in group 1 of division A.

Poland will play in its third Nations League match in Gdansk against Italy on October 11. Bosnia and Herzegovina is then the opponent of the Netherlands in Zenica.

A division lower, Norway beat Northern Ireland 1-5. Erling Haaland and former FC Groningen striker Alexander Sørloth both made two hits. In the same group, Romania had a close victory against Austria: 2-3.

In group 2 of division B, the Czech Republic lost 1-2 against Scotland in Olomouc and Israel took a point at home against Slovakia at the last minute: 1-1.
