POCO, Xiaomi’s sub-brand seemed on the brink of extinction last year, however, 2020 has been the year of the “sleeping giant”, as POCO has been presenting devices that hardly have competitors in terms of their cost / benefit ratio . What about if He POCO F2 Pro It was already a very interesting team for its price, the POCO X3 NFC It is probably the most interesting device if we are looking for a highly competitive and complete team without spending a lot of money.

A distinctive design

POCO continues to look for a design that highlights its devices from the rest of the competitors, and although the firm has placed an almost rectangular camera module, it goes in the center and is surrounded by a circle that is undoubtedly very attractive and does look different from other phones on the market. The available colors will be blue and graphite.

On the front we have the now classic hole in the screen located in the central part of the equipment that allows better use of the screen, in fact, speaking of the screen and its Full HD + resolution, the firm has wanted to clarify that the device arrives with certification Widevine L1, which was one of the problems with their previous devices (as with many from Xiaomi), so thanks to this certification we will be able to enjoy content from Netflix, Prime Video and other platforms in HD.

Unfortunately, the POCO X3 NFC is still a 4G device, but it mounts the latest Qualcomm processor announced last week, the Snapdragon 732G, so it promises better gaming performance and much better autonomy than other devices of this range, and, above all, this price.

In fact, that the processor is optimized for games is something that the firm has taken advantage of to also include a liquid cooling system and reach a 120 Hz refresh rate, although the latter will drain the device’s battery much faster. However, the firm will have an intelligent system that will change the refresh rate depending on the use of the device to save battery.

One last detail to consider is that the brand has had to cut some elements in order to offer an attractive price, so even though we do have NFC, there is no IP68 certification, remaining only in IP53, which allows it to be resistant to splash, but not submersible.

Price and availability

The equipment will be sold internationally from September 8, although at the moment there are no details for Mexico, in fact, we are still waiting for the arrival of the POCO F2 Pro to our country.
