Dragoş Docan, a founding member of the band Krypton, is in hospital, being infected with SARS-CoV-2. It seems that the artist developed a more severe form of the disease and was admitted to intensive care. His health has improved, the guitarist being still kept under strict medical observation, according to money.ro.

“The winning mentality made our bassist, Dragoş Docan, win this war with the virus of death (I will not say – the virus of life), he is now in a period of recovery! We announce in this way, related to the contracted concerts, that our participation under the title KRYPTON – acoustic will be in the variant: Eugen Mihăescu & Aurel Dincă – KRYPTON – unplugged. We, the members of the band, Eugen, Aurel Dincă, Claudiu Macarie, wish him a speedy recovery as well, and a good thought that will surely come from you, those who have been and remained with us and our music, all these years! THANK YOU! We are moving forward “, wrote on Facebook Eugen Mihăescu.

Who is Dragoş Docan

A composer for many light music, ethno and rock soloists, Dragoş Docan is one of the people who changed the face of Romanian rock and has an impressive musical career behind him. The bass guitarist remained in the history of modern music, being co-author, together with his colleague from Krypton, Eugen Mihăescu, of the first Romanian rock opera (“Lanţurile”, double album released in 1992). After 1980 he took his certificate as a sound engineer and left his mark on the music of many bands such as: Hey, Onox, Grafitti, Blitz (where he came in place of Adrian Daminescu), then Krypton, in 1985, notes click.ro.
