Rapid growth of POC testing, home-use devices; evidence generation, development, regulatory requirements; webinar to learn solutions.

Point of Care (POC) testing and devices have seen rapid growth due to technological innovations, market need, and evolving regulatory requirements. This webinar will help those in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and diagnostics industries understand the use of POC devices to support clinical research, key development and regulatory requirements for POC devices, and use decentralized study models to support evidence generation for POC development.

The webinar will cover study models to support evidence generation for home-use device development, technological approaches to integrating data from home-use devices to support clinical research, and key development and regulatory requirements for home-use devices. The speakers are Andy Bevan, Ken Butz, Tom Healy, Margaret Moos, and Christine Varner, all of whom are experts in their respective fields.

POC testing involves medical diagnostic tests performed outside a laboratory environment, and increasingly in the home setting. Home-use devices aid in the early detection of potential health conditions in the absence of symptoms, facilitate early and more optimal treatment interventions, and reduce burden on healthcare systems. The evolution of home-use devices and changing regulatory landscape and evidence requirements presents challenges for clinical researchers.

Innovative and robust operational and technical solutions are necessary to meet the challenges of the changing landscape. The webinar will provide information on how to use decentralized study models to support evidence generation for POC development, technological approaches to integrating data from home-use devices to support clinical research, and key development and regulatory requirements for home-use devices.

The webinar is free to attend and is open to anyone in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and diagnostics industries. Those interested in attending can register at http://www.appliedclinicaltrialsonline.com/act/poc. This webinar is an excellent opportunity for those in the industry to gain a better understanding of POC devices and how to use them to support clinical research.
