The volume of orders registered on November 13 was 4 times higher than that of an ordinary day of the year. Moreover, the first Monday after Black Friday also recorded an increase of 250% compared to 2019, and the busiest day, in terms of volume of shipments, was Tuesday, November 17, when the team of couriers Sameday delivered 35% over the historical peak reached during the state of emergency.
The collection of packages from the easybox lockers network was in the top of the preferences of those who ordered during the Black Friday campaign, the service registering an adoption rate 3 times higher than last year. The number of packages delivered to easybox, during this year’s campaign, was equal to half of the entire volume of deliveries of the previous edition.
37% of the recipients in Bucharest chose to pick up their orders from lockers, with Cluj-Napoca and Timişoara at the top. The packages were picked up from easybox, on average, 3 hours faster than in October, and the shortest time to pick up a package was 1 minute.
95% of the parcels delivered through Sameday, between November 13 and 20, were of the B2C type, thus serving the e-commerce sector. In terms of product categories, Romanians focused on the following: fashion (14.7%), home, decorations and DIY (13.9%) and IT&C (13.6%).
During Black Friday, Sameday operated a fleet of more than 2,500 vehicles, covering 2.5 million km and 855 lockers, three times more than in the same period last year.
