Liiga-SaiPa Oy will start co-operation negotiations concerning the entire personnel.

Employees in fixed-term and indefinite employment are included. These include players, coaches, guardians, and office and restaurant workers, among others.

SaiPa announces that it is planning measures that could lead to the dismissal and / or dismissal of employees on production-economic grounds.

– The reasons relate to the economically significant loss of income and the significant deterioration of solvency caused by the coronavirus pandemic, as well as to the reduction of production tasks in some respects, the release states.

The company estimates that any temporary layoffs would last 30 to 90 days. Any layoffs would affect all employees.

Possible redundancies would affect a maximum of three Liiga-SaiPa Oy employees. The estimated end date of the co-determination negotiations is November 7.

SaiPa was involved in co-operation negotiations as early as April. At the time, the players agreed to cut their salaries.

So far, two co-operation negotiations have also taken place in JYP and Pelicans. JYP decided to lay off his coach Pekka Tirkkonen and Ari Santasen.
