When at the end of July it became known about the inclusion of the Eifel Grand Prix in the Formula 1 calendar, the stage organizers said that the race on October 11 would be held with empty stands. Now the executive director of the Nürburgring circuit, Mirko Markfort, expects to receive permission from the local authorities to hold a race with spectators.
Mirko Markfort: “In Germany, the organizers of each sporting event must obtain a separate ticket sales permit. However, using the DTM as an example, we made sure that everything can be done in a very short time before the start of the stage.
At the moment it is impossible to predict how many spectators will be admitted to the stage, but every additional day on which we can sell tickets can be considered a good day. “
