Teemu Pukin the gunpowder has been wet in this season’s Championship Series. The Finnish striker from Norwich City has only scored one goal in five matches he has played so far.

Returning to England from the national team, Pukki only got to the field for 11 minutes last Saturday. Norwich grabbed a 2-1 away win over Rotherham. The winner scored a penalty kick from the striker Jordan Hugill.

After the match, the Norwich manager Daniel Farkelta asked if Puk’s role as the number one striker is at stake.

The German pilot mainly chuckled.

– We don’t even have to talk to Puck. He is still one of the best players in the series, Farke said Norwich Evening Newsin by.

– There is no reason to doubt his skills. That would be sheer madness. He has played more minutes than perhaps anyone else in the last couple of seasons across England and scored closer to 40 goals.

Farke reminded that Pukki was chosen as the best player in the entire Championship in the 2018–2019 season, even though the competitor was, for example, Aston Villa’s current champion league star Jack Grealish.

Farke wants to save Pukk, who played two national matches in the Owl shirt.

– Thanks to his pass, we won Huddersfield and he guaranteed us a score against Preston. The penalty kick against the derby failed, but it hurts.
