Two new talk phones were unveiled this week by HMD Global, the Nokia licensee. With design references from the past, these are Nokia 6300 4G and Nokia 8000 4G.
The two new phones launched under the Nokia brand, in addition to the 4G connectivity, referred to in the title, have several modern features, they don’t even run Android. The pre-installed operating system is Kai OS and it seems that WhatsApp is enough.
Moreover, in KaiStore you can find hundreds of other applications optimized for the small screen of a terminal that does not try to be very smart. The list includes Facebook, YouTube or Google Maps, and because we are talking about a talking phone launched in 2021, both models also come bundled with the Google Assistant virtual assistant, so you can quickly find the answer to the most common questions.
“As the world continues to adapt to the new normal and flexible working conditions, we wanted to give users the option to stay connected both professionally and personally. The highly affordable Nokia 6300 4G and Nokia 8000 4G offer many options, connectivity and style, being inspired by the original handsets, but rethought for today. Moreover, both phones can be used as pocket-size WiFi hotspots, assuring users that they will stay connected on the rest of the devices.
At HMD Global we pay special attention to the essential role that classic phones play in the lives of many users. Our goal is to provide connectivity to those users who need it and also to give our fans the opportunity to choose the right phone for everyone, ”said Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer & VP of HMD Global North America.
Nokia 6300 4G and Nokia 8000 4G will be available in Romania in the second half of December. The first will have a purchase price of 300 lei, and the second will jump to 400 lei.
“Nokia’s entire phone portfolio is interconnected by design. It is an aspect recognized by our fans, so we pay special attention to it, to ensure that our philosophy is reflected in everything we do, and these two new phones are no exception. With the Nokia 6300 4G and Nokia 8000 4G, we wanted to offer users in the feature phones segment the same options as in the smartphones segment, so that they can express their own style through technology, ”said Raun Forsyth, Head of Design, HMD Global.
