Nico Hulkenberg, who replaced the ailing Sergio Perez in two stages at Silverstone, helped Racing Point engineers fine-tune the RP20 front and rear suspension. According to the technical director of the team Andy Green, Niko’s comments formed the basis for the modernization of the car.

“The changes in the front and rear suspension were a direct consequence of his piloting at Silverstone,” Racefans quoted Green as saying. “We’ve made design changes based on Niko’s feedback. His comments after the Nürburgring race were also very interesting and important.

He noted that he would like to change and told how his feelings from the car change depending on certain settings. After Silverstone, we made changes to the design, not expecting Niko to return to the wheel again. However, he did, and we received fresh feedback. This is really interesting and very important.

On Saturday, he could not appreciate the improvements, as he only drove four fast laps. In such a short time, it is impossible to do. However, he has spent a lot of time behind the wheel in the race and his feedback is invaluable. ”
