The Washington football team is continuing the process of finding a new identity by seeking advice from season ticket holders.
The letter signed by team president Jason Wright wrote: “The most important of next year’s priorities is to find a new name, logo and logo for our franchise.”
“We want you to express your opinion on the most meaningful name, representing your love for this organization and the concept of what this team means to you.”
After a long process, the US National Capital team narrowed the scope of the possibility of sending more than a dozen names.
Options include monarch, president, boar, rider, red wolf, pilot, hiker, ambassador, Griffins, warrior, fleet, rising, Swift, commander, pilot, ruby, and traitor. The organization also includes the possibility of retaining the name “Washington Football Team”.
“This is not a vote for the name, but an opportunity to gain an opinion, which is very important for the next step in establishing a new identity.”
