The new regulations for electric scooters were released on Friday. Among other things, they mean that if you park your electric scooter in the wrong place, you will be charged.
On the other hand, the report does not specify an age limit, and there is no report prohibiting driving while intoxicated.
The Ministry of Transport and Communications provides municipalities with many opportunities to monitor themselves, such as how many electric scooters and how many actors there should be.
These are the new rules:
*If parking is not correct, a parking fee can be charged.
*Only one person can ride an electric scooter at a time.
*Signs must be posted in places where driving is prohibited.
*When you drive past pedestrians, the speed of driving on the sidewalk cannot exceed 6 km/h.
Transport and Communications Minister Nut Harid (KrF) stated that they are particularly concerned about the ban on more than one person on a scooter.
-We are very aware that only one person is allowed to ride an electric scooter, and we cannot see two people in traffic, or in the worst case, only three people, Hareide said: TV 2.
The regulations will be introduced in a few weeks. If you violate the rules, you will receive so-called violation fees.
Christina Moe Gjerde, general manager of Voi, an electric scooter company in Norway and Finland, is positive about the new regulations.
-Now, it is important that the police authorities must implement the new rules, Gerd told NTB.
