It has been mentioned that this month Huawei could have a new international event in which it would officially present the new Huawei Mate 40, its best phones of the year and which would be clearly focused on better performance, as the Mate series has always stood out for the section on power and performance, while the P series is the one that focuses on photography.

And on this occasion, new photographs have been leaked on the Internet of a device that seems to be part of the new Mate 40 series, and which could arrive in Mexico in the coming weeks.

The leak does not indicate which model, and its specifications are not revealed, except for its 4 rear cameras and its 64 megapixel main sensor, but we can see that the design follows the same line as the Mate 30 and that the latest leaks on the design of the Mate 40 Pro, so it is likely that this phone is also from the same Mate series.

However, it is very likely that it is not the Mate 40 or the Mate 40 Pro because what we can see in the leaked photographs is that this phone has a pop-up front camera. This mechanism became fashionable in 2018, but in 2019 it was gradually replaced by the hole in the screen, in fact, the P40s had a hole in the screen instead of a pop-up camera.

One of the rumors about the Mate 40 is that all the premium range models will have a hole in the screen because they will continue to integrate Huawei’s advanced facial unlocking that performs an infrared scan of our face, making it the most advanced face reader on Android.

So what phone is it?

The design and pop-up camera lead us to think that it is the Huawei Mate 40 lite, which had already been leaked on the Internet before, and which, according to engadget, will come with the name of Huawei Y9a or Huawei P Smart Pro, depending on each country, so Mexico could probably arrive as Huawei Y9a.

The images you leaked GSMArena A few weeks ago this phone showed the same design as in the images that have been leaked, in fact, we can see that the screen does not have a hole or notch, so in the new photos we can see that Huawei opted for a camera pop-up for this device.

The GSMArena leak mentions that the team will come with a configuration of 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, in addition to a 40W fast charging system, which is much faster than many premium-range phones today.

With this information on the table, it is likely that soon we will be able to see this phone in Mexico, and as a last piece of information, the leak also reveals that the price would be approximately 370 dollars, that is, about 8,200 MXN, so its final cost could be less than 10,000 Mexican pesos.
