New job for Harry and Meghan: In the virtual conversation series of the “Time” magazine they take over the moderation for a special broadcast. To mark the announcement, the couple published a special photo – and that says a lot.

Duchess Meghan, 39, and Prince Harry, 36, can prove their qualities as hosts and conversation leaders. As the US American “Time” magazine announced, the couple will host a special edition of “TIME100 Talks”, the magazine’s virtual talk series, on October 20th. The topic: “Engineering a Better World” – what is needed for a secure and more trustworthy digital world?

Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry: Active participation in “TIME100 Talks”

As one of their guests, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will welcome Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, 37, who is the couple’s husband as the husband of tennis pro Serena Williams, 39. As the “Time” magazine reports, Harry and Meghan are said to have actively participated in the selection of the guests as well as in the development of the topic.

This is what their photo together conveys

The couple should, however, be the biggest figurehead of the conversation series due to their royal celebrities. The Times publishes new portrait photos of Harry and Meghan to match the special format. One thing stands out in particular: The grandson of Queen Elizabeth, 94, sits towering next to his wife on the arm of the armchair on which the laughing Meghan casually sits enthroned.

A picture with symbolic power: Both are dressed business-like and exude seriousness paired with a friendly zest for life. Harry literally supports his wife in the position he has taken, while the 39-year-old leans on him trustingly, but almost casually.

The photo could say a lot: Both go new ways together that no longer have much in common with royal everyday life. This is about a career that is being embarked upon and which the Power Couple pushes forward as a committed duo. Harry holds his protective hand over Meghan. No one should hurt his wife again in the future the way she felt during her time in the UK. Still, the former actress is not helpless. She knows about her strengths and about her husband’s loyalty and unconditional love. Her look at the floor initially suggests uncertainty, but her smile demonstrates self-confidence.

You are among the “most influential voices in the world”

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, both ‘TIME100’ alumni, are among the most influential voices in the world,” says Dan Macsai, chief editor of “TIME100”, underlining the effect of the photo. They look forward to working together “to raise important voices and provide real solutions to some of the most pressing problems of our time.”

The virtual conversation series “TIME100 Talks” has existed since April 2020. In addition to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the format has since allowed a number of well-known participants to have their say, including Bill Gates, 64, Elton John, 73, the Dalai Lama, 85, Mark Ruffalo, 52, Angelina Jolie, 45, Eva Longoria, 45, or Sofia Vergara, 48.
