Google Clock 7.4 update adds buttons to snooze/stop alarms, updates timer UI.
Google Clock has released a new update, version 7.4, which introduces a new user interface (UI) to the app. It replaces the old swipe gesture to snooze or stop the alarm with buttons that must be pressed. The timer section also gets a cleaner look, with larger buttons to add time and stop the timer. The new UI was first noticed by Artem Russakovskii on Twitter and has been tested by some users with mixed results. The update also changes the look of the timer, with the expiring time now enclosed in a circle, and the timer count relocated to the top left-hand corner. These changes are meant to make the app more user friendly, as the swipe gesture was not always reliable. While some users have had success with the new update, others have not, and it could be related to accessibility settings on their device. It remains to be seen if these changes will be beneficial to all users, but it is a step in the right direction for Google Clock.
