The coronavirus pandemic continues to advance in Spain and is especially prevalent in Navarra, where one has already been passed incidence greater than a thousand cases per 100,000
inhabitants in the last 14 days. Specifically, the rate is 1002.73. In the community, in addition, there is a positivity of 15.3% and an ICU occupancy by Covid patients of 29.23.
Total, another three communities exceed the threshold of 500 established by Health to take extreme actions. These are La Rioja (549), Aragón (542) and Castilla y León. The autonomous city of Melilla is also added to the list with an incidence of 822 cases.
Of the above, all have a positivity greater than 10%, but only Aragón and Castilla y León have their ICU occupied by Covid patients in more than 35%, with a percentage of 37.95 and 35.63% respectively. Madrid continues to be the community with the highest occupancy rate in intensive care units with 39.27%. However, they are surpassed by the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla with more than 41%.
Across the country, the average of the three indicators continues to worsen. The accumulated incidence is 10 points higher than yesterday, reaching 322, the positivity is 12.2 and the ICU admissions are 21.51%. The care situation worsens since the difference between income and discharges is increasing: 1,742 compared to 1,423.
Regarding the number of cases, Health has notified this Tuesday 13,873 infections and 218 deaths in the last 24 hours. According to the ministry, 5,314 with cases diagnosed the day before, of which 1,358 have been registered in Madrid, 718 in Aragon and 613 in the Basque Country.
Meanwhile, the number of deaths in the last week amounts to more than half a thousand: 553. Castilla y León is the community in which the most deaths have been registered (103), followed by Madrid (86) and Andalusia (84).
