Danish murderer Peter Madsen, sentenced to life, escaped from Herstedvester prison in Albertslund on Tuesday morning, Danish media report. Cops tracked him down and drove him towards a fence, according to images from the medium EkstraBladet.
According to the medium, Madsen may be wearing a bomb belt. The medium describes “a belt-like object” with which Madsen would have threatened in prison. Armed agents would hold Madsen at gunpoint. Roads in the immediate vicinity would be blocked.
Madsen is said to be about 500 meters from the prison, where he is serving a life sentence for the murder of Swedish journalist Kim Wall. Madsen killed her in his submarine in 2017, he already confessed.
EkstraBladet writes, based on sources, that Madsen has been placed in isolation cells several times for possible escape plans. His lawyer tells the medium that she had not yet heard about the escape attempt.
Madsen was found guilty of rape and murder by the Copenhagen court in April 2018. Initially, the inventor claimed that Wall was killed in an accident on board, but that he had dissected her remains.
