The most affected regions
Of the people with COVID-19 identified this Monday, 62 percent, 5,722, correspond to the City and the province of Buenos Aires, the foci of the pandemic in Argentina.
Specifically, the province has reported 4,633 new cases in the last 24 hours, while the city has registered 1,089. Thus, the totals rise to 297,079 and 104,009, respectively.
In this sense, the Secretary of Access to Health, Carla Vizzoti, has indicated that the number of positives that “for months” has located the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires as the main focus, with more than 90 percent of cases, it is currently below 70 percent. However, this decrease is motivated by the proportional increase in cases in the rest of the provinces.
