Months ago we first heard the rumor that the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 would be the last Samsung smartphones in the Galaxy Note series. Why? Because the 2021 generation of the Galaxy S would have an S Pen, the only feature that separated both series from being the same. And now new sources point out that the Galaxy S21 would launch with an S Pen.
While this would not necessarily lead to the extinction of the Galaxy Note series of Samsung, the truth is that without a characteristic that justifies its existence as flagship Unique rather than a replica of previous models but with more powerful hardware the Galaxy S and Galaxy Z Fold seem to be leading the Galaxy Note to the precipice.
Samsung Galaxy S21 design details
The user @yahishekhd from the social network Twitter published a block of controversial information: the Samsung Galaxy S21 series would have three different models, all of them with huge screens but, most important of all, they would all have their own S Pen stylus located at one of its vertical ends.
With the “three models” surely @yabhishekhd he is referring to a standard Samsung Galaxy S21, a Samsung Galaxy S21 + and a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, thus copying the same triad of nomenclature of the Galaxy S20.
It is worth noting that the same report cited by the tweet attached above anticipates that there are no cancellation plans for the Galaxy Note for next year. That brings hope to fans of said series but it’s worth wondering if the reason for the Galaxy Note 21 is that Samsung has a new exclusive feature for them.
For now, the rumor that the Samsung Galaxy S21 would be launched with an S Pen and thus would appropriate the feature that for more than 8 years has distinguished the Galaxy Note is gaining more and more force. This was an inevitable fact as the Galaxy S were increasing more and more the size of their displays.
