A MOM of three children experienced an awkward situation after joining a discussion about a school snack in the parent group Mums Who Cook, Clean & Organize. She announced what the food packages she packs for the children look like. She photographed plastic bags with apples, kiwis, oranges, cheese, biscuits, juices and other snacks. That was immediately an occasion for some to start getting smart.
“Kids don’t need sugary juices,” said one.
Others told her she was environmentally unaware because she used plastic bags to pack food.
“I’m sorry to have to be negative, but it would be better to think about an alternative to plastic bags,” adds another.
Mom immediately managed and replied that these are reusable bags, so she uses them again every week.
“If I wanted criticism, I would ask my ex-husband for his opinion,” she wrote.
Still, there were those who praised her and stood up in her defense.
“You make your job easier, don’t pay attention to the critics on duty,” they said.
