In 2021, Microsoft promises to get rid of your monthly subscription payment for its Microsoft Office service pack and introduce a fixed payment.

Microsoft will launch a new, fixed-price version of its Office productivity software in 2021, moving away from the subscription service model it introduced earlier this year, the company said in a statement.a blog post.

The post includes a single sentence about the software, but the message is pretty clear: “Microsoft Office will also have a new perpetual version for both Windows and Mac in the second half of 2021.”

In April, Microsoft transformed Office 365 into Microsoft 365, adding more features to its software suite.

The service, although much more comprehensive, included a monthly subscription fee, with prices starting at $ 7 for an individual plan and reaching $ 10 for a family plan, which included up to six people.

Why pay if I can benefit from services for free?

It’s not the first service you can find solutions to not pay for – whether they’re fair or not. Although you can use Microsoft 365 applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel online for free, they have limited capabilities.

Given that you are constantly working with documents, files, spreadsheets, the perpetual version or even the subscription, they are necessary in order to fully benefit from the capabilities of these programs.

If you work from home, you know how stressful it can be for a program to make your work harder instead of helping you. Thus, the complete functions are somewhat more useful and facilitate the work to a certain extent.

For the latest version of the Office package, the one from 2019, Microsoft has not announced whether it will make the change from subscription to fixed payment. However, it included details about the release of a new version. This, of course, without mentioning price information or the exact date of launch of the new version of Office.
