The pop singer Michael Wendler is apparently leaving the jury for “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”.
One of the new jurors for “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” is apparently getting out of the show straight away. The pop singer Michael Wendler (48) announced in an Instagram storythat he will no longer participate in “DSDS”. A shooting of the casting show had to take place without the singer.
Sender had “no influence”
“I would like to announce a message here and now: I will leave the ‘DSDS’ show as a juror with immediate effect,” explains the singer. It is a decision that he made himself. The broadcaster had “no influence” on it. On its website, RTL confirmed Wendler’s jury-out.
As a surprising reason for his exit, the singer gives the behavior of the federal government in the Corona crisis. He accuses the government of “gross and serious violations of the constitution” and the Basic Law. Many German TV stations are “politically controlled”. His fans could reach him on his new “Telegram” channel, he explains.
His reasoning is apparently read off, it works like a satire. It could very well be that the whole thing will soon resolve unexpectedly. Because also Oliver Pocher (42) and his wife Amira (28) spoke up in an Instagram story. Both “DSDS” veteran Dieter Bohlen (66) and Wendler are said to be live (from 23:35 on RTL) on “Pocher – dangerously honest!” be visible.
