The SER string announced this Wednesday the winners of the 2020 Ondas Awards, which annually recognize the work of journalism and communication in Spain, in addition to other areas such as television or music.

The award for the best presenter has gone to Michael Robinson. The popular Movistar commentator and director of successful programs such as ‘Informe Robinson’, on the same television network, or ‘Acento Robinson’, on Ser itself, died on April 28, a victim of cancer.

In this way, the Prisa chain pays homage to one of the most popular faces in national football and whose death shocked the entire country.

Rivals united for a prize

Cadena SER has decided to award the best radio program award to one of its star spaces, Sports Carousel, an award they share with their main rival on the airwaves, Game time, from Cadena Cope, directed by Paco González, who was also the presenter of Carrusel.

The PRISA chain thus recognizes the work of two programs during the stoppage of competitions due to the coronavirus, a time in which both Carousel and Time of Game maintained their broadcast even without football and whose ability to reinvent themselves has been awarded.
