The forward of the Barcelona tops this list that measures both the number of followers on the Instagram social network of each athlete, and the relevance of those residents (geographic, gender or subject affinity), the conversation generated by its updates and the economic return it gives to sponsors.

Specifically, Messi accumulates 167 million users on Instagram, which increased 27% in the last year, with 37% sponsored posts. Lead this classification with a total of 115 points in the classification made by the creators of the study, which analyzes its scope, relevance, resonance and economic return.

Follow him Cristiano Ronaldo (113 points), the forward of Los Angeles LakersLeBron James (110), Indian cricketer Virat kohli (109), the Canadian tennis player Bianca Andreescu (107) and the Brazilian footballer from PSG French Neymar Junior (107), sixth in this classification.
