Tre McLain was born on October 19, 1993 and has a height of 1.96. The American forward started his career at Queens University and then transferred to Chattanooga, where he played all three seasons until graduation in 2017. In the senior season he averaged 13.8 points, 2.2 assists, 5 , 4 rebounds and 1.6 steals.

In the 2017-2018 season, he wore the Parma Perm jersey, with which he had 12.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.2 steals in 23 games in the VTB League.

Then in the 2018-2019 season he played for Avtodor Saratov, with whom in the VTB League in 17 matches he had 9.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.2 steals, while in the Europe Cup in 12 games he had 14.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.8 steals average.
