McLaren’s update plans for Hungary are in line with Ferrari’s.

McLaren will challenge Ferrari to take third place in constructors’ championship. McLaren will make some updates during the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Silverstone saw the Woking team perform well with Lando Norris in fourth place and Daniel Ricciardo in fifth. McLaren, which still has third place in the championship after collecting 22 points in Great Britain, is now close to Ferrari in the rankings. McLaren was second with Charles Leclerc, and Carlos Sainz sixth. The Scuderia took four more points than McLaren.

With some updates, England hopes to be back at the Hungaroring in August’s first weekend. Andreas Seidl was the team boss after the British Grand Prix. He revealed that, despite McLaren’s attention on the 2022 vehicle, there is still plenty of potential with his team. “We are bringing some upgrades to our car to Hungary to make sure we keep up this battle. It’s great that we are third in the Constructors’ Championship. And after ten races 163 points is an important step forward from last year. That is a great accomplishment.

McLaren’s points total at the same time in last year’s season was 106. McLaren is not the only one on the rise, but Ferrari, an old rival, is also. This team appears to be recovering from the 2020 season which was the worst in 40 years. Seidl was not surprised at Ferrari’s performance. Seidl stated that Ferrari is a strong team and has two strong drivers. “They also have all the resources they need to respond to problems. It’s not surprising that they have a team with the expertise to handle problems. It will be a very tough battle until the end of the season.”

The Hungarian Grand Prix will be held on August 1. After that, the summer break begins immediately.
