Liberty Media, the majority shareholder in Formula 1, has invested in Meyer Shank Racing, a member of IndyCar and the IMSA racing series. Liberty Media acquired a minority stake, the amount of the deal was not disclosed.

The Meyer Shank Racing team has been playing IndyCar since 2017, but only this season on a full-time basis. The team will exhibit one car, driven by British driver Jack Harvey.

Mike Shank, co-owner of the team: “We are gradually developing our programs at IMSA and IndyCar. The investment from Liberty Media is another big step forward. Everything we do is built on partnership, and in this respect, the new partnership is no different.

Liberty Media’s investment will allow us to further develop our racing programs. ”
