The nursing home Les Vinyes, from Falset (Priorat) has registered 40 deaths for an outbreak of coronavirus detected in September. Others 52 residents have overcome the disease and they remain 18 more pending positives of a new serological test.
Falset Town Hall, a town of about 2,800 inhabitants capital of the Priorat region, has reported in a statement from the residence status almost two months after the outbreak started, in mid-September, and which has affected in total 110 people.
As regards the rest of the municipality, there are six positive cases, of which two are hospitalized, while the other four remain isolated in their homes.
The consistory has made an appeal to the citizen responsibility of the neighbors to follow “rigorously” the prevention and security measures to face the spread of the virus in the municipality.
The city council has assured that “the sanitary measures are of obligatory fulfillment and the people who do not respect them are being warned and sanctioned”.
