Leo Komarov’s last day has been full of great emotions. The season of the New York Islanders, represented by a Finnish striker, ended in Finnish time on the night between Thursday and Friday.

The team lost the sixth match to Tampa Bay Lightning 1-2.

The same day as a hockey player Julyspouse gave birth to a small baby boy. Komarov posted a sweet picture of the baby’s little feet on his Instagram account.

– An emotional day. This afternoon I had a baby boy .. I’m really proud of the way Juulia dominated the whole situation without me, Komarov wrote.

– Our journey with hockey did not end as we would have liked. I can not tell you how proud I am that these guys are teammates. Thanks to every Islanders fan for their encouragement and support.

Despite the day of play, Komarov could not have supported his wife in childbirth. NHL players have been locked in Bubble to prevent coronavirus infections.

The couple also has a child born in 2017. Komarov has published a lot of pictures of his son on Instagram.

Komarov married in the summer of 2016 in Suomenlinna. The couple had time to socialize for more than ten years before they got married. After the inauguration, the festivities continued in front of Helsinki on Klippan Island.

Komarov, 33, played 48 matches in the regular season with a power of 4 + 10. In the playoffs, the Finnish striker knocked three power points.

Komarov has played in his career for two seasons in the Islanders and five years in the Toronto Maple Leafs. In KHL, the attacker’s club was at Dynamo in Moscow.

Komarov has won a world championship, an Olympic bronze medal and two World Championship silver medals in his career. The Finn has two KHL championships.
