Manchester United has received the second acquisition of this season. After the earlier arrival of Donny van de Beek, left back Alex Telles of FC Porto was captured on Monday. Earlier in the day, Bayern Munich announced the arrival of Douglas Costa, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Bouna Sarr.
Costa returns to Bayern
27-year-old Telles signs with United for four years, with an option for a fifth season. It costs the English top club about 15 million euros.
Telles has played for FC Porto since the summer of 2016 – he delivered 26 goals and 57 assists in 195 matches – and previously played for Galatasaray and Internazionale. He made his debut as an international for Brazil in March last year.
United has a bad start to the season: Van de Beek’s team lost two of the three Premier League matches. On Sunday, Tottenham Hotspur was no less than 1-6 too strong at Old Trafford.
Costa will be rented by Bayern for the rest of this season. The thirty-year-old Brazilian returns to the club for which he also played from 2015 to 2017 and for which he scored fourteen times in 77 games.
Three years ago, Costa first switched from Bayern to Juventus on a rental basis. The Italian champion then took him over for 40 million euros from ‘Der Rekordmeister’.
The wing attacker played a total of 103 matches for Juventus, in which he found the goal ten times. This season he came in as a substitute in the first two league games of ‘De Oude Dame’.

Choupo-Moting was transfer-free after leaving Paris Saint-Germain, where he decided not to renew his contract last summer. The 31-year-old attacker signs a one-year contract with Bayern.
At the German top club, Choupo-Moting will act as a stand-in for Robert Lewandowski. The Cameroonian previously played in the Bundesliga for Hamburger SV, Schalke 04 and FSV Mainz 05. With his arrival, Joshua Zirkzee will likely be hired out.
The 28-year-old Sarr costs Bayern 10 million euros. The Frenchman will sign until mid-2024 and is the alternative for Sergiño Dest, who recently chose not to exchange Ajax for Bayern, but for FC Barcelona.
