Dick Advocaat hopes that the fans of Feyenoord will adhere to the corona measures on Sunday in the match with ADO Den Haag. The experienced coach is of the opinion that when the rules were violated, only the Rotterdammers were considered.
Lawyer: Criticism from Berghuis was partly correct
Feyenoord was reprimanded after fans did not keep 1.5 meters away during last Sunday’s Eredivisie match against FC Twente (1-1) and sang and cheered against the rules.
The club will therefore use extra stewards against ADO and mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb of Rotterdam said that fewer or even no fans may be more welcome in De Kuip if the rules are violated again.
“We have great fans and I thought it was not that bad. The 1.5 meters is very important and that the fans have to keep, because given the time in which we live, the corona virus is an invisible enemy,” said Lawyer at the press conference on Friday.
“I thought it was very focused on Feyenoord. While there was a lot of noise at PEC the week before. It happens everywhere. I think everyone should be treated the same. About the cheers after PSV’s 2-1 against FC Very little has been said in Emmen. “

After the game with FC Twente, there was some criticism of Feyenoord’s game, also from captain Steven Berghuis. However, the lawyer does not intend to completely change course.
“Berghuis was a little frustrated. Some of the things he said were true. Whether he said it because he wants to leave? No idea, you should ask him,” said Lawyer. “We are trying to improve and we are not going to change everything immediately because we will draw once. We are still in preparation from a football point of view.”
The match between Feyenoord and ADO Den Haag starts on Sunday at 12.15 pm and is led by referee Dennis Higler.
