Series second KuPS suffered a surprise loss in the Veikkausliiga on Thursday when FC Haka, who was at the tail end of the series, knocked out the team 3–2 (1–0). The decisive goal in the second minute scored Salomo Ojala.
Ojala also scored after 52 minutes. Ojala’s shot took a special kick from Tabi Manga’s foot and suddenly hit the finish line.
Haka fought hard in the match as it was able to rise for both Aniekpeno Udon after lead paints to levels. Medo was the 2-2 level scorer.
KuPS would have risen to equal points with HJK. Haka rose to ninth with a win.
FC Inter, on the other hand, knocked down TPS 3–0 in the local match in Turku.
Inter opened their goal already in the 10th minute when Filip Valencic deprived the ball of TPS. Benjamin Källman shot the ball into the post but Timo Furuholm slipped the ball to the finish.
The finish was the tenth for the captain Furuholm of the season. Arttu Hoskonen pushed the ball from the free kick to the goal just six minutes later.
With his victory, Inter is still third in the Veikkausliiga and four points away from HJK. However, the people of Helsinki have played less of the match.
Inter also managed to keep the points difference the same for FC Honka in fourth. The people of Espoo won FC Lahti 2–1 on Thursday and are three points away from Inter.
Honka’s second goal was his own goal made by the people of Lahti. The other two hits came from penalty kicks.
