Keith Richards chose Argentina to present to the world the special reissue of his album live Live at the Hollywood Palladium, with the video projection in an exclusive avant premiere for media, fans and local artists that took place last Thursday, November 12 at the Punta Carrasco drive-in movie theater. For the big occasion, Keith Richards recorded a special greeting on video that was celebrated by all those present who, apparently, they were moved to tears remembering the first solo visit of the Stones guitarist to our country in 1992. After that historic concert at the Vélez Stadium, the landing of the Stones shows and their eternal love with Argentina would arrive.
Among the Argentine artists and celebrities who were there were: Leticia Brédice, Fabián “Zorrito” Von Quintiero, Viticus, musicians from Los Pericos, Paranoid Mice, Crazy old ladies, Intoxicated, TO BE, The Board, Flannel, Pier, Blues Motel, Los Gardelitos Y Nico Bereciartua, among many more, along with fans, contest winners and specialized rock press.
December 15, 1988 Keith Richards and his band, The X-Pensive Winos, they played on the Hollywood Palladium. It was the penultimate show of a 12-city tour of the United States and a night that the band and the audience will never forget.
Now this legendary concert will be available for the first time as limited edition box set, in addition to other formats such as CD, 2LP vinyl and digital with iconic classics and soloists of the caliber of Take It So Hard Y Make No Mistake, hasta los hits de The Rolling Stones Happy Y Connection. The Boxset and digital formats will include three unreleased tracks: Little T&A, You Don’t Move Me and one written by Lennon-McCartney: I Wanna Be Your Man.

Keith had gathered the nucleus of this group throughout 1987 and 1988 during the sessions of Talk Is Cheap. For this first solo Richards live tour, the star formation brought together the best musicians on the planet: the drummer Steve Jordan (Keith’s collaborator for years), guitarist Waddy Wachtel, the bass player Charley Drayton, the keyboardist Ivan Neville (collaborator of The Rolling Stones), the singer Sarah Dash, and on saxophone, the inimitable, late great accompanist to The Rolling Stones, Bobby Keys.
Live At The Hollywood Palladium will be available as special luxury box set wrapped in a black cotton replica of the tour shirt sold that night along with a satin VIP pass, and also will include 40-page hardcover book with David Fricke’s writing, “The Loosest Tight Band You’ve Ever Heard,” featuring a new interview, as well as numerous unpublished photos and rarities from Keith’s personal archives.
In addition to the screening of the full recital, the attendees took gifts from Keith among which were an exclusive cap and an autographed replica of the original 1988 show credential.
