Oscar-winning actor Kate Winslet says he regrets that he worked Woody Allen and Roman Polanskin despite allegations of sexual offenses against them.
Winslet spoke about it recently to Vanity Fair magazine while discussing his new film Ammonite.
– Why the hell did I work with Woody Allen and Roman Polanski? he wondered.
The actress says her new film has made her think more about women’s rights.
– It is now incredible to me how those men were held in such high esteem in the film industry. It’s a shame. I have to take responsibility for working with both. I can’t turn the clock back.
Winslet most recently collaborated with Allen on the 2017 film Wonder Wheel. When Winslet was asked about Allen earlier three years ago, he ignored the question at the time.
Allen’s daughter Dylan Farrow has publicly accused this of harassing children.
Winslet worked with Polanski on the 2011 film Carnage. Polanski was charged with the sexual exploitation of a 13-year-old girl in 1977. She has lived in exile since 1978.
