The former boxer who was a challenger for world titles is 63 years old and his condition is delicate because he is diabetic, hypertensive and obese.
The former boxer from Cordoba Juan Domingo “Martillo” Roldán is admitted to intensive care, with oxygen assistance, at the JB Iturraspe hospital in San Francisco, in that province, for being infected with coronavirus.
Roldán is stable, although a doctor informed him Clarin that his evolution should be observed, because he is diabetic, hypertensive and obese.
Maria Elena, the former boxer’s wife, told this medium: “As the virus did not hold me so hard, they sent me to my house and I hope this happens as quickly as possible and that my husband recovers.”
The woman said that they both learned they were with coronavirus last Friday. “Juan’s state of health is delicate. On Friday they swabbed us and tested positive. Since yesterday I have been telling him to go see a doctor, but he did not want to. This morning I told him: ‘Let’s go’, and we went. I had symptoms before, with a lot of coughing. He had a stuffy nose, nothing more ”, clarified Roldan’s wife.
The former boxer is 63 years old and was an Argentine and South American champion and a three-time world title challenger. He was born in the Cordoba town of Freyre, but lives in San Francisco. And it has fields and a dairy farm.
