After undergoing a model upgrade this year, the engineers did not touch the Hyundai Kona EV driveline and chassis this time: the 39 and 64 kWh batteries, with a range of 305 and 484 kilometers, respectively, remained. Engine power accelerates to 136 km / h in 100 and 204 hp, respectively, in 9.9 or 7.9 seconds, with top speeds of 155 and 167 km / h, respectively.
However, the appearance and technological content have changed. The nose became completely closed, and the lower, functional air intakes were accentuated. The main luminaire has an LED, under which an air curtain opening improves aerodynamics. The design of the tail has also been renewed – all of which partly coincides with this year’s facelift of the non-emission-free Kona versions. The range of body colors has been expanded with nine new shades.
In the passenger compartment, a digital instrument panel, smartphone functions that can be controlled and monitored from a smartphone, and advanced new navigation and driver support services create a modern atmosphere and easier driving. From now on, both when reversing and changing lanes, the car actively prevents us from colliding with a vehicle arriving in a dead space, does not allow disembarkation if a car comes in, or alerts you when someone gets back but does not disembark with us at the destination.
