Instagram is one of the most popular social networks and it took only 10 years to get here. Platform officials are celebrating the anniversary with an update.

The Instagram version available ten years after its launch recommends you to be a little more civilized in the online environment, with a few new features. When you want to post an aggressive comment, with inappropriate language, you will receive a notification recommending that you reconsider the decision. You are not prohibited from posting the comment in question, but it is pointed out that if you repeatedly violate the rules of the platform, your account may be deleted.

In addition, if you are used to reporting comments you receive on your posts, Instagram makes your life easier. It will automatically hide comments similar to the ones you’ve already reported.

Some time ago, in 2016, the Instagram interface included a map. There, you could see the stories you posted, where they were immortalized. As you can see in the screenshot below, that feature has been re-incorporated into Instagram, although it’s a bit changed compared to that iteration.

The new map is available in the Story Archive section of the app’s setup menu, in the upper right when you enter your profile. There, your stories are available in three ways. You can still see them in the traditional format, but now you can see them distributed on calendar days or, if you want, on a map. If you want to see where you made various posts on a map, that function is not available. The option detailed above is limited to Instagram Stories.

It is also important to note that the new map is not public. Only you can see it and you can’t even share it with your followers.
