The filming of the film began today in Rende, in the province of Caserta Hostages, a comedy with Gian Marco Tognazzi, Vanessa Incontrada, Elena Cotta, Francesco Pannofino, Alessandro News, Jonis Bascir ed Eleonora Ivone. Directly from Eleonora Ivone (theater, television and cinema actress) the film is based on the play of the same name by Angelo Longoni (who wrote the screenplay with the director) and tells the funny adventure of a plurality of characters.
It all starts with a man who is chased by the police because he robbed a bank and who enters a bakery, then taking the patrons hostage. The result is an unleashed tragicomedy in which Marco (Gianmarco Tognazzi), an improvised robber, is a small businessman who goes mad at the umpteenth tax bill. Ambra (Vanessa Incontrada) is instead a former nurse turned prostitute “on her own”, Regina (Elena Cotta) a cardiopath retired with revolutionary flashes, Remo (Francesco Pannofino) a fearful and aggressive baker, e Nabil (Jonis Bascir) a wise Syrian salesman. The Commissioner (Alessandro News) and the negotiator Anna (Eleonora Ivone). It goes without saying that, as events unfold, the game will become more and more unpredictable.
Eleonora Ivone, who has a short film on child abuse to his credit Open your lips, speaks in these terms of his film: “Hostages is a funny fable about the deep crisis that many try to deny. The concept behind the story is simple but fundamental: if no one does anything, nothing will ever change. Those of the five characters are the tensions and fears of those who are hostage in other ways and in other situations within society “.
Hostages, which will be made with a budget of 1.5 million euros, is a new production for Fenix Entertainment, a young company for the production and distribution of film, television and music content that is characterized by being present throughout the value chain: from the choice of subjects, to the script, to production / co-production / post-production, to distribution.
