Tadej Pogačar gave the surprise in the Tour of Francia and was proclaimed virtual winner of the gala round after going back to Primoz Roglic in the chrono of the 20th stage.
Roglic and the Jumbo they dominated the Tour during the final days of competition, but did not count on Pogačar’s display at the decisive stage of the event. At 21, he flew the final time trial at La Planche des Belles Filles to overcome the 57 seconds behind him with his compatriot and virtually win his first Tour de France.
