The Community of Madrid may close the perimeter during the course of the Almudena bridge, from November 6 to 9, after the meeting of the Interterritorial Health Council on Wednesday analyzed the evolution of the Covid-19 pandemic and the deadlines for perimeter confinements.

In this meeting between the Government and autonomies that make up this Council, they have addressed the criteria for the duration of the perimeter confinement measures to guarantee its effectiveness and if the seven days collected in the state of alarm are maintained, an issue from which Madrid, which recently closed from October 30 to November 2 by the bridge of Todos los Santos.

Thus, Madrid may close again only a few specific days over said bridge, from 00:00 on Friday, November 6 to 00:00 on Tuesday, November 10, as established in a regional decree.

These are the communities that already ask for confinement at home and those that, without asking, have already tightened the measures

The representatives have also tried the matter of home confinement, as several communities have requested, although it has been ruled out for the moment, because first we must evaluate the impact of all the measures approved so far, such as the curfew.

The Basque government, for its part, has asked the central to adapt the royal decree of the state of alarm to enable the possibility of decreeing home confinements “if it becomes necessary,” according to a press release. Likewise, the Junta de Andalucía has requested at the meeting that the central government take the decisions that are within its competence on the legislative development of confinement, according to the Minister of Health and Families, Jesús Aguirre.

In addition, the council has unanimously approved a manifesto presented by the Minister of Health, Salvador Illa, which condemns the altercations and disturbances that occurred in different cities, as well as the attitudes that have promoted them, calling on the public to continue in their exemplary attitude of monitoring the health recommendations for the prevention of covid-19.
