If you have a product website and want to create a handy video to show customers all the information, but you don’t have the budget to do it, Google helps you – for free.

To provide a solution to this, Google’s AI team is working on a future technology that can automatically convert web pages to presentation videos.

Direct video promotion from Google

tool URL2Video Google helps you convert your site into a short video, and you only need to specify how long you want it to have and what your aspect ratio is.

The tool tries to maintain the design language of the source page and uses its elements, such as text, images, and clips, to create a new video.

To train the model, the company interviewed designers to determine important aspects of a web page derived from heuristics.

Based on these parameters, the tool analyzes a page and classifies the key elements. Then, based on the conditions provided by users, select top items, such as headers and images, to produce a video.

Once the video has been generated, you can change the colors and style to rebuild the video according to your needs. Below is an example of the tool used to create a video for Google Search.

The funny thing is that Google isn’t the only company working on this, although I’ve probably not heard of it so often from others. Baidu has built and launched a limited-capacity AI that can generate voice news videos using a single URL.

In the future, Google’s AI team wants to add the ability to add audio and voice during the editing process.

You can read more about the technical details of the tool developed by Google in this work.
