SC Cambuur lost the lead in the Kitchen Champion Division on Friday due to a 0-2 defeat against Go Ahead Eagles. Excelsior striker Elías Már Ómarsson is already on seven hits after his team’s 1-3 victory against FC Dordrecht.

NEC beats Ajax’s promises

Jeroen Veldmate and Bradly van Hoeven scored early in the first half and shortly after the break for Go Ahead. As a result, the team from Deventer was too strong for Cambuur in a grim duel at times.

The Frisians, who were on their way to the title in the shutdown last season, suffered their first defeat of the season. Cambuur did win his first two matches, but has to tolerate NAC Breda and Roda JC above him in the rankings. Those two teams will play later this round.

In Excelsior’s 1-3 win over Dordrecht, Ómarsson scored twice from close range shortly before half time after a corner kick. The Icelandic striker thus canceled Kevin Vermeulen’s opening goal in the Rijnmond derby. Shortly before the end, Thomas Oude Kotte secured the victory by making the third goal with a nice shot.

Ómarsson is already on seven goals after three games in the Kitchen Champion Division. Only two clubs (Cambuur and NAC Breda) were more accurate than the Excelsior striker on his own.

Excelsior, which earlier on Friday reported two more corona infections within the selection and staff, is six points and climbs to fourth place thanks to the victory. ‘Dordt’ gets stuck with one point in the lower regions.

NEC was 2-1 too strong for Young Ajax in-house. Rens van Eijden headed in the first half from a corner.

The Brazilian Giovanni seemed to give Jong Akax a point in the eightieth minute by scoring after a nice pass from Kenneth Taylor. But a minute later NEC received a penalty kick that was used by Jordy Bruijn: 1-2.

Young PSV was far too strong for Jong AZ with 1-4, which took the lead through Mohamed Taabouni. Shortly before half time, Richard Ledezma signed for the 1-1 and after half time the Spanish / Belgian striker Ismael Saibari was good for a pure hat trick: 1-4.

Jong AZ is the last player on goal difference, Jong Ajax and TOP Oss also lost their first two matches. NEC (thirteenth) and Jong PSV (fourteenth) are in the middle bracket.
