Author of the first version of the soap opera “Pantanal”, Benedito Ruy Barbosa signaled that he would like to see in the cast of the remake some names that acted in the original aired in 1990 on the extinct TV Manchete. So far, three actors have been booked, according to columnist Fernando Oliveira: Cássia Kis Magro, Marcos Palmeira and Cristiana Oliveira, a Juma Marruá interpreter, who in the new version will be played by a debuting actress after some actresses have been cheering on social media. The trio can either give life to fixed characters or participate in a special way in the remake.
Globo seeks singers for the soap opera ‘Pantanal’
Also according to the column, “Pantanal” should have new characters at the same time that it will be faithful to the original plot, replayed in 2008 by SBT. At the same time, Globo is looking for country singers to play Trindade (Almir Sater in 1990) and Tibério (Sérgio Reis in the first version). The problem, according to the columnist, is that the musicians would have to have an agenda available for eight months. Currently, the station has on the radar Lucas Lucco, Gabriel Sater and Luan Santana, who has already participated in some soap operas on the channel such as “I Love Paraisópolis” (2015).
Antonio Fagundes should act in the soap opera ‘Pantanal’
Initially, “Pantanal” should go on air in 2021, but it may be over two years from now due to the pandemic of the new coronavirus and the fires in the Pantanal region, since part of the recordings will be made there. Antonio Fagundes is practically a defined name for the story, in which José Leôncio and Velho do Rio would live in the second phase. In 1990, Cássia Kis gave life to Maria Marruá, Juma’s mother; Marcos Palmeira was Tadeu, son of José Leôncio (Paulo Gorgulho / Claudio Marzo) and Filó (Tânia Alves / Jussara Freire).

So far, only the six-track has not seen the recording of “Nos Tempos do Imperador” resumed, following “New World”. The plot should be replaced by “Além da Ilusão”, with Larissa Manoela living two sisters in different stages of history. At seven, “Quanto Mais Vida Melhor”, with Giovanna Antonelli, will be the unprecedented successor to “Salve-se Quem Puder” and will precede “Cara & Coragem”, with Taís Araujo in double paper. Finally, at nine, “Um Lugar ao Sol” will replace “Amor de Mãe” and will have Cauã Reymond living twins who grow up separately. Then there may be the remake of “Pantanal” and “Olho por Olho”, by João Emanuel Carneiro.
